How to play Imposter
Pass the phone
Add the players and choose how many imposters to hide. Each player holds the screen to see their card in secret.
One clue word each
Take turns saying one word linked to the secret word. Too obvious helps the imposter; too vague makes you look guilty.
Vote and reveal
Vote for the imposter. If the group is right, the imposter gets one last chance to win by guessing the secret word.
Why groups play Imposter in Tadado
No cards to deal
Roles are assigned in the app and shown one player at a time, so nobody sees a card they shouldn't.
Secret words from any deck
Use the free Tadado Mix, themed decks, or an AI deck about a topic your group knows inside out.
Switch games without switching apps
When the group wants to shout instead of scheme, jump to Forbidden Words or Heads Up with the same deck.

In the imposter word version, nobody kills anybody: one player simply doesn't know the word and tries to blend in. Tadado's Imposter mode is an original take on the format with its own decks.

Imposter: questions
How do you play the imposter game?
Everyone except the imposter sees the same secret word. Each player says one clue word, then the group votes on who the imposter is. A caught imposter can still win by guessing the word.
Is it like Spyfall or Werewolf?
It belongs to the same family of hidden-role bluffing games. Unlike Spyfall there are no locations or questions, and unlike Werewolf there is no night phase: just one secret word and one clue word each.
How many people can play Imposter?
Tadado's Imposter mode plays with 3 to 12 people on one phone, and you can choose how many imposters to hide.
Is the Imposter mode free?
Yes. Tadado is free to download and Imposter works with the free Tadado Mix deck. No ads and no subscription.
